Responsibilities: Garment construction from concept to TOP stage.
Create Accurate spec packages that follow designers direction. Issue graded specs based on final fittings.
Understanding of textiles, fibers and a good eye for color. Ability to determine the best fabrics and trim combinations to result in best 1st fit.
Excellent communication and organizational skills—Must be able to communicate directly with both vendors and Individual PD departments on all fit/tech issues. Maintain accurate records from inception to final product for each garment. Create action calendars for each garment.
High school graduate. Associate degree in fashion/apparel textile design or related degree or equivalent experience Strong technical understanding of various fabrics,required. Minimum 1 year prior assistant technical design experience.
